Nominate Your Local SBA Program for National Small Business Week 2012!
Many local One-Stop Career Centers work with local Small Business Administration (SBA) programs or Centers to provide value-added employer services to their small business customer. Has your local partnership with SBA helped to serve a small business well? Then, help your local SBA program toot its horn by encouraging them to enter the National Small Business Week Video Contest.
The contest, in celebration of National Small Business Week 2012, is being sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration for small businesses to show how they have been assisted by an SBA program or service. The contest ends on May 11, 2012 and winners will be announced during National Small Business Week 2012.
For more information on how to enter, go the the Competition Web page on the Challenge.gov portal at http://smallbizvid.challenge.gov. Submissions must consist of an original video, 2 minutes or less in high-resolution format that answers some of the following questions within the video: "What is the name of your small business and where is it located?"; "Which SBA program or service did you use?" "What were you able to accomplish as a result of the service? For example, were you able to hire new employees, start your business, expand your operations, purchase equipment, etc.?"
