National Workforce System Recovery Act Implementation "Readiness" ReportPosted by Gretchen Sullivan - On August 04, 2009 (EST)For those who haven't yet had a chance to look at the ETA report on the Spring 2009 Recovery Act readiness consultations, we wanted to highlight the availability of the report on the ETA Web site. The report notes that the majority of state systems are well-positioned to implement the Recovery Act, with most states needing only low levels of technical assistance. Commonly-reported technical assistance need areas include Reporting, One-Stop Readiness, Supportive Services, Trade and WIA Integration, and Demand Industries and Workforce Information. Many states and territories indicated an interest in learning from peers about how they are implementing Recovery Act provisions, as well as accessing resources and tools to support their ongoing efforts - key functions of our reemployment Community of Practice. We encourage you to continue to use this space to connect with your colleagues, share strategies and tools, and obtain support for your Recovery Act implementation activities!
